This fight has the ingredients to be a wild scrambly brawl with numerous finish opportunities for either side. TJ Brown has 6 losses, 5 of those he has been finished. 14 of TJ Brown's 15 wins have come via finish. When the cage door closes it's kill or be killed for TJ Brown. Guess who has the same mindset, his opponent Jordan Griffin is no different. Every one of his fights is exciting and he goes out there to finish his opponents.
On paper this fight has all the makings to end via finish, and when I reviewed the tape I found that it's not just on paper. The clash of styles is perfect as well. TJ Brown is primarly a kickboxer but has good wrestling/BJJ and he can finish the fight anywhere. Griffin will accept any kind of fight, I believe he will let TJ Brown dictate where the fight takes place. So we may see a kickboxing type fight to start, Brown has good power but he is very chinny and has been cracked several times in his career. So a Griffin club and sub is a very likely scenario. But like I said I believe Brown does have the power in all limbs to put Griffin in trouble as well.
If this fight gets extended I don't think it makes me worry too much, on tape it seems like both fighters have the ability to carry finishing ability into later rounds. But I don't even really feel like this fight gets past 7.5 mins, I think we are going to see wild exchanges early from these guys. Griffin via SUB in round 1 or Griffin via KO in round 2 is what I'm thinking here.
It's really hard to pick a side in this fight all things considered but I think if I had to I'd go with TJ Brown (+110) currently
